With five NPD specialists, led by our Chief Product Officer and over 30 years of combined experience in the supplement and wellness space, our team is equipped to lead you through every stage of development with confidence.

Creating the perfect product often takes more than a few back and forth sample rounds. That’s where our Development Day service comes in offering a more hands on, collaborative approach to fine tuning your formulation. These sessions are designed to fast track the decision making process, reduce delays between sample iterations and give you complete confidence in your final formulation. You’ll also get to experience our development space, see our process up close and have in-depth discussions with our nutritionists and product developers about your product vision.
We start by diving deep into your brand’s vision, product goals and preferred formats. On your initial call, our Business Development Manager will walk you through how we work and what to expect. She’ll make sure we fully understand your vision and that we’re the right supplement manufacturing partner to bring it to life.
Once we're aligned, we will onboard you to The Hub, our bespoke client portal. Here, you can upload your brief and access key resources. Our business development manager will be your go to until the Product development stage, ensuring a seamless handover to our technical team.
Once we receive your brief, our New Product Development (NPD) team reviews it carefully and arranges a call to dive deeper into your vision discussing your goals, desired claims, target market and any technical requirements.
From there, our experienced nutritionists and formulation specialists will make expert recommendations to strengthen your concept, suggesting trending ingredients, delivery formats and innovations you may not have considered. You can rely on us to build a formulation that’s not only exciting and compliant but also commercially viable, setting your product up for success from the very start. You'll be working closely with our our talented NPD team who bring scientific expertise, creativity and market insight to every project.

At this stage, we cost up your concept based on proposed ingredients, formats and packaging to give you a clear view of commercial feasibility. Our procurement team works with NPD to ensure the figures align with your expectations and if not, we’ll work with you to adjust the formula or components to keep things on track.
This is where your idea starts to take physical form. Our team will meticulously source the raw materials for your product to find the perfect harmony of taste, quality and cost. Each component is carefully selected to align with your formulation and brand requirements.
We don’t stop at ingredients, we also source the perfect packaging to complement your product, ensuring it meets your functional needs and brand vision. We create initial samples based on your formula and packaging and send them your way for full review. You’ll have the chance to assess and refine every aspect with our team from taste, texture, appearance, functionality and packaging before signing off.

Once the product is approved, we move on to artwork. We’ll generate your final specification and label text, ensuring all required details are captured. Artwork is typically created after flavour sign-off and can either be handled by our team as a paid service or by your own designers, whatever works best for you.
Upon receiving an order, BLC will procure all raw materials and packaging used during development from our approved suppliers. We manage the procurement of all raw materials and packaging, working exclusively with approved, trusted suppliers who meet our stringent quality standards.
Our operations team ensures the secure and timely delivery of all materials to site, including managing import and export logistics to keep everything on schedule. Once materials have arrived on site, BLC will conduct thorough organoleptic assessments, checking taste, texture, smell, and appearance, to confirm everything meets expectations and aligns precisely with your approved sample. This pre-production step is a vital quality safeguard, designed to prevent inconsistencies and uphold the integrity of your final product.
