Lead Times
Please note that lead times are approximate and may vary based on the availability of key components, including ingredients, packaging materials and production scheduling.
Once your order is confirmed, we can provide artwork templates to support the creation of your product label. You’re welcome to design your own and our technical and quality assurance teams will review all submitted artwork to ensure it complies with relevant UK and EU regulations before giving final approval for printing.
We kindly ask that you plan your timelines in accordance with our standard lead times, as we are unable to accelerate production outside of the existing manufacturing schedule.

Frequently Asked Questions
We recommend taking some time to read through the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) section below. This resource is designed to address many of the common queries we receive and may provide immediate answers to some of your initial questions. Reviewing this information can offer valuable clarity, set expectations, and help you better understand our approach before getting started.
Yes, we develop a wide range of products in-house in our development kitchen, including powders, liquids, and functional chocolates.
Our expert product development team handles everything from formulation to recipe development, to packaging and compliance, ensuring that each product meets the highest quality standards.
However, for certain specialised products such as gummies and protein bars, we collaborate with trusted external partners to ensure they are developed and produced to the same high standards. This comprehensive approach allows us to offer a diverse product range tailored to your needs
We are not a manufacturer, but we are a supply chain management business. Our unique model allows BLC to manage the entire process, from start to finish. Upon manufacture, BLC procures, and manages all the raw materials sourced when we developed your product/s, ensuring they remain high quality and consistent through to the completion of your goods. By partnering with specialised contract manufacturers, chosen specifically for your product type and packaging requirements, we ensure a tailored approach. This model allows us to remain flexible, cost effective and highly scalable when it comes to the production of your goods.
This seamless, full-service approach lets you focus on growing your brand, while we handle the complexities of product development, quality control, supply chain and production.
Unfortunately our MOQs are non-negotiable and need to be met. This is largely dictated by the MOQs of individual ingredients.
Samples are created as part of the Product Development process and you will be able to discuss this in more detail once we have reviewed your brief.
We do not hold stock of any items or offer drop shipping services but we can deliver your finished units to your chosen 3PL provider or FBA warehouse.
Our business model enables us to produce your goods in a facility that meets your requirements. This includes a wide range of quality and manufacturing certifications, such as Informed Sport, BRC, GMP, etc. If you have any certification preferences or requirements please let us know.
It is uncommon for recipes to be classed Intellectual Property and the protection for brands typically comes down to the branding and design of the finished product (which you can manage/own). The ingredients list legally needs to be included on pack, which means it is within the public domain as soon as you go to market.
In more specific terms, BLC creates a Product Specification for every product, which includes a full ingredient list with dosages for all active ingredients, along with the nutritional information. Each client is welcome to use the Product Specification however they need. The only information that is not disclosed is the breakdown of the flavour system, which is deemed confidential and doesn’t legally need to be included on pack.
All ingredients are thoroughly tested before production and supported by a Certificate of Analysis but further testing is available upon request, if needed. Testing requirements often vary across clients and projects but please let us know what you require and we can help make the arrangements.
Yes, we can include a UK Compliance Review as part of our process, which includes the generation of recommended on-pack text along with a review of your final artwork before print. We do not offer International Compliance or import/export services but may be able to refer you to a consultant who can help with international regulations.
