Sustainability and Innovation Shine at NOPEX 2025

In May 2025, the Black Label Creations team attended NOPEX (Natural & Organic Products Expo) at London’s ExCeL—a leading platform for brands that champion sustainability, innovation, and wellness. The event brought together pioneers from across nutrition, health, beauty, and lifestyle, offering an inspiring glimpse into the future of natural and planet-positive products.

With consumer demand for sustainability at an all-time high—65% of shoppers now factor environmental impact into their purchasing decisions—NOPEX showcased the brands that are setting new benchmarks for eco-friendly and functional products. Here are some of the highlights from the show.

Quirky Monkey
A standout in the coffee category, Quirky Monkey introduced an innovative concept: coffee bags filled with real mushroom pieces. Combining the benefits of functional mushrooms with the familiarity of a morning brew, this first-to-market format delivers both novelty and wellness in every cup.

Moonji
Reimagining frozen treats, Moonji is an Ayurvedic-inspired ice cream brand with flavours like turmeric and matcha. By blending ancient wellness traditions with modern indulgence, Moonji is redefining what functional foods can look—and taste—like.

Deeply
Deeply impressed with its gut-friendly probiotic drinks, which provide a quarter of your daily fibre intake. Beyond its nutritional benefits, Deeply’s infinitely recyclable aluminium bottles are a perfect example of how sustainability and science can work hand-in-hand.

Manifesto
Specifically designed for women navigating perimenopause and menopause, Manifesto is a next-generation supplement brand inspired by “The Second Spring” in Chinese medicine. With refillable tins for its gummies, the brand combines targeted nutrition with eco-conscious packaging.

Kult Soda
Kult Soda caught our attention with its unique approach to kefir—transforming this traditional fermented drink into a light, water-based beverage. The result is a crisp, clean, and subtly tangy drink that offers gut health benefits in a refreshing, dairy-free format.

MyOva
Focused on supporting PCOS and fertility, MyOva stood out for its premium, minimalist branding. The clean, high-end design strikes a perfect balance, making hormone health approachable while positioning the brand firmly within the wellness lifestyle category.

What We Learned
The overarching theme at NOPEX 2025 was clear: sustainability, functionality, and innovation are no longer optional—they’re expected. Brands are moving beyond traditional formats and ingredients, embracing refillable packaging, functional adaptogens, and products designed to align with consumers' wellness journeys.
