Types of sachets & Films
Black Label Creations offer five types of sachets and films, these include stick seal, 4 sided, 3 sided, liquid and pillow. Please see below for a more detailed description of the five types of sachet and films available.
Stick Sachet
Stick sachet seals are commonly used for stick sachet packaging. Stick sachets are long, narrow, tubular packages often used for single-serving products like powders, liquids, or granules (e.g., instant coffee, drink mixes, or supplements).
The sealing method for stick sachets typically involves a fin seal along the length of the package and seals at both ends, similar to other types of flexible packaging.

Sachet & Film Materials
All sachets can be made up using different layers of the below core materials. Sachets are typically made with 3 layers. These consist of an inside layer for sealing the sachet together, a middle layer for barrier protection and in some instances appearance, such as MET PET, and a outer layer for the desired finished look, for instance, Gloss, Matte and Metallic appearance.
PET
(Polyester)
Polyester (PET) is one of the most commonly used materials in sachet films due to its excellent mechanical and barrier properties. PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) is a versatile plastic that forms the outermost layer in many flexible packaging structures, offering several important advantages for sachets and flexible films.
Aluminum Foil
Aluminum foil in sachet films is typically laminated with other plastic materials like polyethylene (PE) or polyester (PET) to create a multi-layer structure.
This lamination process combines the strength and flexibility of plastic films with the excellent barrier properties of aluminum, resulting in packaging that is both durable and lightweight. Aluminum foil is commonly used in sachet films due to its superior barrier properties.
PP
(Polypropylene)
Known for its strength and heat resistance, PP is commonly used for the outer layer of sachet films. It provides a smooth surface for printing and adds rigidity to the sachet. This film does have the option to be made recyclable once formed, but there are limitations to the recyclability depending on the products requirements and barrier protection level required.
PE
(Polyethylene)
PE films are widely popular due to the quality and sustainability of the material. The film is 100% recyclable and has brilliant barrier properties.
It is made up of clear PE film, with another layer of clear PE film added to provide strength and durability.
